IPR040294

Description

IPR040294 is a Nodulin-related protein 1/2.

Nodulin-related protein 1 (NRP1) may play a role in the negative-feedback regulation of the abscisic acid (ABA) synthesis pathway. Overexpression of NRP1 enhanced susceptibility to heat stress and was accompanied of decreased accumulation of ABA after heat treatment [[cite:PUB00090797]]. The function of NRP2 is not clear.

Associated GO terms

GO predictions are based solely on the InterPro-to-GO mappings published by EMBL-EBI, which are in turn based on the mapping of predicted domains to the InterPro dataset. The InterPro-to-GO mapping was last updated on , while the GO metadata was last updated on .

GO term Namespace Name Definition Relationships
Biological process Response to heat Any process that results in a change in state or activity of a cell or an organism (in terms of movement, secretion, enzyme production, gene expression, etc.) as a result of a heat stimulus, a temperature stimulus above the optimal temperature for that organism.
Biological process Regulation of abscisic acid biosynthetic process Any process that modulates the frequency, rate or extent of the chemical reactions and pathways resulting in the formation of abscisic acid.
