It is also known as ATPBD1B in humans.</p> <p>In budding yeasts, Gpn2 is a putative GTPase that has a role in biogenesis of RNA polymerase II and III [[cite:PUB00072006]]. It is involved in sister chromatid cohesion [[cite:PUB00072003]].</p> <p>In Arabidopsis thaliana, Gpn2 is also known as GPN-loop GTPase QQT1. It associates with microtubule during mitosis and may function in the positioning of the division plane. QQT1 is crucial for normal development of the plant [[cite:PUB00101696], [cite:PUB00101697]].</p>
