Budding yeast Gpn3 plays a role in biogenesis of RNA pol II and polIII [[cite:PUB00072006]] and is involved in sister chromatid cohesion [[cite:PUB00072003]]. Its human homologue, Parcs (pro-apoptotic protein is required for cell survival), is a dual regulator of cell proliferation and Apaf-1 function [[cite:PUB00043548]]. Parcs is also required for the nuclear accumulation of RNA polymerase II [[cite:PUB00072005]].</p>
