IPR035010 is a Dual specificity protein phosphatase PHS1.

PHS1 is dual-specificity phophosphatase from plants. It specifically interacts with two MAPKs, MPK12 and MPK18. PHS1-MPK18 signalling probably regulates cortical microtubule functions [[cite:PUB00084833], [cite:PUB00084834]]. It is also a negative regulator of abscisic acid (ABA) signalling [[cite:PUB00084832]]. Plant hormone ABA control numeros processes, such as dormancy and germination of seeds, senescence and resistance to abiotic stresses.

GO predictions are based solely on the InterPro-to-GO mappings published by EMBL-EBI, which are in turn based on the mapping of predicted domains to the InterPro dataset. The InterPro-to-GO mapping was last updated on , while the GO metadata was last updated on .
GO term | Namespace | Name | Definition | Relationships |
---|---|---|---|---|
Molecular function | Phosphoprotein phosphatase activity | Catalysis of the reaction: a phosphoprotein + H2O = a protein + phosphate. Together with protein kinases, these enzymes control the state of phosphorylation of cell proteins and thereby provide an important mechanism for regulating cellular activity. | ||
Biological process | Response to abscisic acid | Any process that results in a change in state or activity of a cell or an organism (in terms of movement, secretion, enzyme production, gene expression, etc.) as a result of an abscisic acid stimulus. | ||
Biological process | Cortical microtubule organization | A process that is carried out at the cellular level which results in the assembly, arrangement of constituent parts, or disassembly of structures formed of microtubules and associated proteins in the cell cortex, i.e. just beneath the plasma membrane of a cell. |
