<p>This superfamily represents a multi-helical domain found in several NAD or NADP-utilizing dehydrogenases, including 6-phosphogluconate dehydrogenase [[cite:PUB00034452]], classes I and II ketol-acid reductoisomerases [[cite:PUB00034453]], L-3-hydroxyacyl CoA dehydrogenase [[cite:PUB00021840]], UDP-glucose dehydrogenase [[cite:PUB00034454]], glycerol-3-phosphate dehydrogenase [[cite:PUB00034455]], ketopantoate reductase [[cite:PUB00034456]], N-(1-D-carboxylethyl)-L-norvaline dehydrogenase [[cite:PUB00016267]], and mannitol 2-dehydrogenase [[cite:PUB00034457]]. This domain, often found in the C-terminal region of the sequence, is also found in some Cytokine-like nuclear factor N-PAC proteins, which have chromatin gene reader activity involved in chromatin modification and regulation of gene expression in humans [[cite:PUB00085448], [cite:PUB00153317]].</p>
